Moderate restrictions

International travel to Aruba is permitted. It is necessary to comply with requirements to ensure entry is allowed.

Vaccinations and vaccinated travel

Travelers who present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of a vaccine booster, are exempt from testing requirements. The booster dose must have been administered at least 7 days before departure.

Test/medical certificate required

Non-vaccinated travelers are required to provide proof of a negative PCR test, taken within 3 days prior to departure and at least 4 hours before.
Alternatively, a negative antigen test can be presented, taken within 1 day prior to departure and at least 4 hours before.
Those who have recently recovered from COVID-19 are exempt from testing requirements and must provide proof of a positive COVID-19 test, taken between 10 days and 12 weeks before departure.

Other medical measures

All passengers are subject to health screening on arrival, such as temperature checks and visual assessment. Further health testing may be required for those displaying symptoms of COVID-19.

Additional documents required

An 'ED card' must be completed within 72 to 4 hours before departure and the confirmation generated must be presented on departure.
During this process, travelers should upload testing or vaccine information and visitors must purchase the Aruba Visitors Insurance for $15 USD online. This does not apply to travelers departing on the same calendar day and residents of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao.

Government measures

Although restrictions are gradually lifting, they may be re-introduced at any time and preventative health measures remain encouraged. Social gatherings in public places remain limited to a maximum of 6 people unless part of the same household. Restaurants

Restaurants are open until midnight with seating limited to a maximum of 6 people per table.

Bars

Bars are open until midnight with seating limited to a maximum of 6 people per table.

Nightclubs

Nightclubs are open until 1 am, with seating limited to a maximum of 8 people per table. Customers must remain seated, dancing is not allowed.

Shops

Shops are open with adapted safety measures in place, such as the use of hand sanitizer and social distancing.

Travelers are required to present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine. The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days before departure and not more than 9 months (270 days).

Quarantine required

Non-vaccinated travelers are required to self-quarantine for 10 days. This period may be shortened if a COVID-19 test is taken on the seventh day and a negative test result is confirmed.
Those who have recently recovered from COVID-19 are exempt from quarantine requirements. The positive COVID test must have been taken at least 11 days before departure, and not more than 180 days. The Aruba government has also implemented additional island-wide measures to further maintain the health and safety of visitors depending on the prevailing situation.
As of September 2nd, 2021, until further notice:
Curfew no longer in effect
All establishments are required to close by 12:00 am at the latest. This is not applicable for establishments at hotel properties. Closing times per hotel may differ, please check with your hotel for more information.
Seating at restaurants is a maximum of six per table (excluding children under the age of 12), both indoor and outdoor. Tables must be at least 1.5 m apart.
Live music permitted with a maximum of five musicians. No dancing permitted. An alcohol ban is temporarily in effect in certain public places in Aruba. Hotel guests can order alcoholic beverages on the beach as long as they stay on the hotel property, and can bring their beverages to their palapa or beach chair as long as they order from the hotel bar. Alcoholic beverages can still be enjoyed at beach bars or restaurants not affiliated with a hotel, as long as patrons stay within the grounds of the establishment. It is currently prohibited to consume alcohol on any other beaches, parking lots, parks, or in any public place unless it is a licensed establishment.
There are restricted zones that are off-limits between the hours of 7:00 pm and 5:00 am. Restricted zones include all beaches and public parking lots.
No groups over six people are allowed to form in public spaces unless the group consists of a family from the same household. This includes gatherings on the beach.
Social gatherings or parties allowed at private homes with a maximum of 90 persons and social distancing of 1.5m.
50% capacity limitation at certain businesses (e.g. cinemas, supermarkets, stores/shops etc.). All bars, rum shops, nightclubs and restaurants can serve at tables only.
