Major restrictions

Vaccinated travelers must still provide a pre-departure test and may be randomly selected to be tested on arrival. Travelers are also required to have a suitable quarantine plan in place for 14 days as a precaution, even when seeking the fully vaccinated exemption.
Proof of vaccination must be uploaded on the ArriveCAN application. The final dose must have been administered at least 15 days before departure and supporting documentation must be in English, French, or with a certified translation.

Travelers testing negative on the day-8 test may leave quarantine 14 days after arrival. Travelers testing positive will undergo further 10-day quarantine from the day the test was taken and follow the instructions of local authorities.

Government measures
Across Laos, social gatherings are limited to a maximum of 50 people. Regional authorities may impose local lockdown measures if the area has a high risk of infection. Residents and visitors must install and register on the LaoKYC mobile application to get a vaccine ID and a QR code to be used to access some establishments. In red zones, a curfew remains in place between the hours of 11:30 pm and 5 am. We recommend keeping up-to-date with official guidelines throughout your trip.Use of masks

π Lockdown Details for Laos
The Lao authorities have announced an easing of lockdown restrictions in provinces with no COVID-19 infections. Most businesses (including gyms/spas, sports facilities, night markets, tourist attractions, restaurants, shopping malls, retail shops and food markets) may open if COVID preventative measures are in place. These may include providing alcohol gel, face masks being worn, 1m physical distancing and checking temperatures. However, some entertainment venues remain closed and the sale of alcohol is prohibited.
Large social gatherings, weddings and traditional events are not permitted.
In Vientiane Capital many of the COVID-19 prevention measures and lockdown restrictions have been extended until 4 July as community transmission remains. Many businesses, restaurants, shopping malls, retail shops and food markets may open if COVID prevention measures are in place. The main restrictions are:
